| PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
|

New Parish Pastoral Council (PPC)
Our current PPC members’ term has finished. Currently the parish is looking for new members to lead the growth of St. Christopher’s Cathedral parish as a welcoming community of worship, spiritual richness and service. The PPC’s vocation and mission is the vocation and mission of the Church. It is one of service. The PPC is an advisory body. It is unique because it tries to serve the Church and the world. As we have seen, lay people fulfill their vocation in the world – in their marriages, work, family, social activities, etc. However, a few lay people – especially the PPC – are needed so that the Church can minister to the needs of the faithful. The PPC are united to the Priests of the parish to form a unified Body that attempts both to serve the needs of parishioners (i.e., service to the Church) and to spread the Gospel to the world (i.e., service to the World). The PPC, therefore, has two main focuses: it tries to build up the parish in love and it tries to reach out – as do all lay people – to those who are part of the flock but have drifted. I invite parishioners preferably those living inside the suburbs belonging to the Cathedral parish to join the team. Those who wish to join may nominate their names through the Parish Office or me at 0408 267 777/ email francise@cg.cathoic.org.au
